Somatic EMDR
Somatic EMDR is a blend of somatic psychology and traditional EMDR. This application allows us to hear what both the mind and body has to say, and to explore what is stored or lurking beneath.
Somatic EMDR is known to get results, fast. While everyone's journey is different, 80% to 90% of people report positive results within their first three sessions.
What Somatic EMDR can do
-
process traumatic memories, PTSD and reduce emotional distress without having to talk about the memory
-
develop a stronger connection with your body by paying attention to subtle nonverbal cues
-
lessen the grip of negative thought patterns and what's holding you back
-
restore a sense of safety and vitality

Somatics
Somatic trauma therapy offers techniques for clients to sense and regulate their own physiology and states of being. This includes building more internal and external resources, tracking sensations, building trusting and co-regulatory relationships, learning to turn inward with compassion, being invited deeper in the body, and given time and space to process the trauma.
